What we can and can't take
Almost anything from a house, garage, loft or garden. Here's the full list, and where the few things we can't take should go.

What we take
- Sofas, armchairs and corner units
- Mattresses and bed frames
- Wardrobes, drawers, tables and chairs
- Carpets and underlay
- Bags and boxes of general household rubbish
- Garden waste: branches, hedge cuttings, turf, soil and pots
- Old sheds, fence panels and garden furniture
- Builders’ and DIY waste: wood, plasterboard offcuts, old kitchens and bathrooms (not asbestos)
- Bikes, toys and exercise equipment
- Small electricals such as kettles, microwaves and lamps
What we can’t take
- Fridges and freezers
- TVs and large electrical items
- Paint, oils and chemicals
- Gas bottles
- Asbestos
- Clinical waste
These need specialist recycling or disposal. Blackpool Council’s bulky collection takes fridges, freezers and TVs for £21 for up to three items. Paint and chemicals can usually go to your local household waste site.
